Adding “also” with も
Join in with “me too,” or add one more thing to a request.

Put も after the person or thing you are adding. In these patterns, it replaces は or を: 私 は 学生 です → 私 も 学生 です. This means “I’m a student too.” Do not stack は and も together as 私 は も.

Repeat も after both names to include both people: けんさん も マリア も 学生 です means “Both Ken and Maria are students.” Unlike English “too,” も stays next to the person or thing it includes.

Both Maria and Yuki are doctors.
