From … to …: から and まで
Mark a starting point and an endpoint, in time or in space.

Learn
から marks the starting point; まで marks the endpoint. Both come after the point they mark: 朝 から 夜 まで means “from morning until night.” English puts “from” and “until” before their phrases.
The same pattern works for time and place: 月曜日 から 金曜日 まで means “from Monday to Friday,” and 家 から 駅 まで means “from home to the station.” This use of から means “from,” not the reason-marking “because” you learned earlier.
You can use either particle on its own. 何時 から です か asks “What time does it start?” 駅 まで 歩きます means “I walk as far as the station.”
