ちゅ (chu), hiragana yōon

The two characters combine into one syllable lasting one beat (mora). Do not give the small kana a separate beat.

ちゅ combines ち with a small ゅ. Instead of saying ち and then a separate vowel, say chu as one syllable with one beat.
